Motorlager (formerly Autoiwe) sells car engines, turbochargers and gearboxes. We built the company an online shop catalogue where buyers could ask for a price on any product; the company now uses a different website that we did not make.

The task

An engine, turbocharger or gearbox is chosen to fit a specific car model, so buyers needed to browse products by category and quickly ask about price and delivery. The catalogue was aimed at buyers in several European countries, so it had to be available in six languages, with each language version having its own texts and privacy information.

Solution

We split the catalogue into four categories: new engines, used engines, turbochargers and gearboxes. Each product page had photos, a description and an 'Ask for price' button that opened an enquiry form with fields for name, email, phone and message. Product pages also showed similar engines, and new items were marked with a 'New' badge. The site's buttons, forms, cookie notice and privacy policy were translated into all six of its languages: English, German, French, Swedish, Dutch and Finnish.
