Website and logo for the Romų platforma project

Romų platforma (Roma Platform) is a project of Lithuania's Department of National Minorities for the Roma community in the country. We built the project website in Lithuanian and English and designed its logo. This state-funded contract came to us after we won a tender.

The task

The project has been run in phases since 2016, so it needed a website that presents every phase and publishes news. The site also had to become a public resource, bringing together material on Roma history and culture, the Roma genocide and antigypsyism, along with publications, films and research. The project needed a logo as well.

Solution

The menu is built around the project phases, topics about the Roma, the library and news. The 'Project' section describes seven phases, from 2016–2017 to 2025–2027. The 'Get to know the Roma' section has pages on the Roma in Lithuania and their history, language, music, dance, literature, family and faith. The Roma genocide and antigypsyism have their own sections. The library brings together inclusion plans, books, films and research, and some of the publications can be downloaded as PDFs. The home page shows the latest news and contact details.
