Website for an international seafood supplier
Eurofish Trading AG is a Swiss company that buys frozen fish from fishing companies and producers in the North Atlantic, North-West Africa, Asia, the North Pacific and South America, and supplies it to West African markets – Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria and Ghana. We built a new English-language website for the company.
The task
We built the company’s previous Joomla 3 website a few years ago. Left without updates for a long time, the site was hacked: Joomla 3 is no longer supported and the plugins had not been updated, so spam pages appeared through the vulnerabilities, and in 2026 the site was taken offline. The company came back to us. The task was not just to bring the site back, but to present the company as a serious partner for suppliers and buyers while keeping what visitors already recognise.
Solution
We started with an audit: we assessed the extent of the hack, checked the company’s details in the public register, reviewed other traders’ websites and the client’s existing SEO strategy, and prepared a migration plan. Together with the results we sent 12 questions and received the answers the same day. We offered nine design options for the home page – over three rounds the client chose the one with a video on the first screen. From the old site we kept what people recognise: animated waves on every page, the first-screen video, the quote “A great ship asks deep water” and the gold accent, now taken from the logo. Everything else is a new concept: navy and gold colours, maps of markets and sourcing regions, fish drawings. We prepared the structure and headings, edited the copy from the client’s material and removed unverifiable promises and figures. The site went live on 20 October 2026.
